R&H was established as Robertson and Hitchins Consulting Engineers in 1950, and has since migrated through various acquisitions, allowing R&H Rail to become a significant force in maintaining and supporting railways on behalf of the public, mining and industrial sectors with our wide spectrum of expertise.

In 2004 R&H Rail became part of the international DAR Group of Companies. With subsidiary companies such as TY-Lin, Currie and Brown, Penspen, Perkins & Will and GPO forming part of their portfolio, the Group ranks second globally among Building Consultants and fifth in the Transportation Division.
