Global involvement
For R&H Railway Consultants the international market continues to expand. The firm has carried out rail projects in Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Angola and Malaysia.
The most recent project comprised the upgrading of the rail network and train operating system for Glencore Mining, Mopani Copper Mines, Zambia. The project included raising the existing track network, extensive earthworks, positioning of new ballast, sleepers, turnouts and rails, establishment of a centralised radio control system and efficient drainage of the network.
